BOYS' TEAMS HUGE SUCCESS AT NIKE CUP

The FC Pittsburgh boys' teams competed in the Nike Challenge in Dublin, OH recently. Despite the heavy rains cancelling games on Saturday, the competition on Sunday was great, and a huge success for many of our FC Pittsburgh teams.  We are excited to announce that four teams won their divisions!
- 2007/8 Boys Gold Team, under Coach Patrick Boland, went 2-0 and won their flight
- 2004 Black Team under Coach Sean Glackin went 2-0 and won their flight
- 2004 Gold Team under Coach Andrew Marshall 2-0 to win their flight
- 2003 Black Team under Coach Nate Richter likewise 2-0 to win their flight
Other notables were the 1999 Boys who 1-0-1 with a win and draw for a strong showing under Coach Steve Oberle; the 2000 Black Team under coach Nate who won and drew for 1-0-1; and the 2006 Boys under coach Teddy with a solid 1-0-1 record as well.
So in all, seven FC Pittsburgh boys teams went UNDEFEATED on Sunday - a huge accomplishment for the players and coaches.
Congratulations again to all of the boys, coaches, and for the parents who stuck it out through Sunday to cheer the lads on to victory!!!
